The 6″ x 4″ Ductile Iron (DI) Grooved Reducing Coupling is a specialized mechanical fitting designed to create a direct, streamlined transition between a 6-inch (DN150) and a 4-inch (DN100) pipe run. This component effectively replaces the need for a separate concentric reducer and two individual couplings, significantly reducing installation time and material costs.

Description

The 6″ x 4″ Ductile Iron (DI) Grooved Reducing Coupling is a specialized mechanical fitting designed to create a direct, streamlined transition between a 6-inch (DN150) and a 4-inch (DN100) pipe run. This component effectively replaces the need for a separate concentric reducer and two individual couplings, significantly reducing installation time and material costs.
Specifically manufactured to be compatible with BS1387 (EN 10255) steel pipes, it is constructed from high-strength Ductile Iron (ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12). The coupling features a “Red” epoxy-coated finish for superior corrosion resistance and high visibility in fire protection and HVAC systems. It includes a specialized reducing gasket with a center rib that ensures proper pipe alignment and prevents the 4″ pipe from telescoping into the 6″ pipe during high-pressure operation.
