Description

The Aico Ei144e is a mains-powered residential heat alarm designed specifically for kitchens, garages, boiler rooms, and attics where cooking fumes, dust, or steam cause nuisance alarms on optical smoke detectors. Equipped with a fast-acting Class A1 thermistor heat sensor, the unit triggers an alarm when the ambient room temperature reaches 58°C ± 4°C. It operates on a 230V AC 50Hz mains supply and includes a user-replaceable 9V PP3 alkaline battery backup to ensure continuous fire detection during local power outages. Built on Aico’s proprietary Easi-fit mounting base plate, it connects both mains electricity and battery power automatically upon sliding the detector head into position. The Ei144e features hardwired interconnectivity for up to 12 compatible Aico devices (or wireless interconnection via an optional Ei168RC RadioLINK base), a large Test/Hush button, an integrated 85dB alarm sounder, an alarm memory status indicator, and full certification to BS 5446-2:2003.
