The C-TEC C4408 ActiV Non-Diode Base is a standard conventional detector base manufactured by C-TEC for use with its range of ActiV conventional optical smoke, heat, and multi-sensor fire detectors. Designed to simplify system installation and field wiring, the C4408 provides a reliable, surface-mountable platform equipped with heavy-duty screw terminals for zone loop connections. The non-diode configuration ensures standard continuity across the conventional fire zone without continuity diode restriction. It includes a dedicated terminal to drive external remote LED indicators for detectors located in concealed spaces. Featuring a simple twist-lock mechanism with an optional anti-tamper locking tab, it provides secure electrical contact while enabling easy detector head removal for testing, cleaning, or maintenance.
