The C-TEC CAST CA402 is an open-area intelligent addressable heat detector engineered for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire safety applications. Operating on C-TEC’s proprietary CAST (C-TEC Addressable System Technology) protocol, the detector continuously monitors ambient temperature and reports status directly to compatible addressable panels such as XFP and ZFP. The unit can be programmed via panel configuration or schedule to operate as a Class A1R (rate-of-rise + 56°C static), Class A2 (62°C fixed), or Class B (74°C fixed) detector. Certified to EN 54-5, EN 54-17, and EN 54-13, it incorporates an internal short-circuit isolator, dual ultra-bright LED indicator strips providing 360-degree visibility, and installs onto CA408 standard CAST bases.
