The Codesec DD502 is an open-area intelligent addressable thermal heat detector designed for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities such as kitchens, boiler rooms, workshops, and laundries. Operating on combined A1R principles (rate-of-rise thermal tracking plus a 60°C fixed static heat threshold), the onboard microprocessor continuously evaluates ambient temperature changes to ensure rapid alarm activation during sudden thermal spikes. It communicates across 16V to 30V DC addressable loop systems, supports electronic field addressing via the PP201 portable programmer (address range 1 to 250), features dual red status LEDs offering 360-degree visibility, and includes output terminals for connection to parallel remote indicators like the PL002.
