Codesec IS101 Short Circuit Isolator

The Codesec IS101 Short Circuit Isolator acts as a digital “safety valve” within an addressable loop. In a standard wiring configuration, a single short circuit can potentially bring down every detector and module on the line; however, by strategically placing IS101 modules between groups of devices (typically every 20-25 devices), the system can isolate only the affected segment. The module continuously monitors the loop voltage and current; upon detecting a short, it opens the circuit to the faulty section, allowing the control panel to continue communicating with all other devices from the opposite direction of the loop.
