Description

The 45681-210IMC is the standard foundation for all Context Plus XP95 and Discovery “Xpert Style” detectors (smoke, heat, and multisensors). Its defining feature is the Xpert Card—a small plastic card that is coded by snapping off pips to set the loop address. This card is slid into the side of the base, meaning the address is physically tied to the building’s wiring rather than the detector head. This design significantly reduces the risk of incorrect addressing during maintenance or head replacement. The base is purely passive and contains no electronics, but features robust stainless steel connectors to ensure a high-reliability electrical path between the loop wiring and the detector.

  • Xpert Card Addressing: Allows the loop address (1–126) to be set permanently at the base. This ensures that when a detector head is replaced, it automatically adopts the correct address without the technician needing to adjust DIL switches.

  • Universal Compatibility: One base fits the entire range of Xpert Style detectors, including optical, ionization, heat, and multisensors, simplifying stock management.
  • Large Diameter Terminals: The wide terminal entry points allow for easy termination of up to 2.5mm² fire-resistant cables (like FP200).
  • Remote Indicator Support: Dedicated terminals (-R and +R) allow for the direct connection of a remote LED indicator for devices installed in hidden locations.
  • Earth Continuity: Includes a dedicated terminal for the cable screen (earth) to ensure electrical shield continuity throughout the loop.
  • Anti-Tamper Lock: Features a small plastic tab that can be removed; once removed, the detector head can only be taken out with a specialized tool or small screwdriver.
  • Directional Markings: Clearly marked “IN” and “OUT” terminals to assist installers in maintaining correct loop polarity.
