The 55000-600IMC is an intelligent, analogue addressable detector that operates on the XP95 communication protocol. It uses the light-scatter (photoelectric) principle to detect smoke particles, making it highly effective for escape routes and areas where overheating materials or smoldering furniture might occur. Like other detectors in the Xpert range, it features a patented addressing card system where the address is set in the mounting base rather than the head. This “plug-and-play” design ensures that maintenance is error-free, as any replacement head will automatically adopt the address of the base it is plugged into. The unit is LPCB approved and features an insect-resistant screen to minimize nuisance alarms.
