The 55000-885IMC is a sophisticated intelligent detector that operates on the XP95 communication protocol. It contains both an optical (photoelectric) smoke sensor and a thermistor-based heat sensor. The control panel processes the signals from both sensors to provide a more accurate assessment of a fire. This “intelligent” fusion allows the detector to be more sensitive to fast-flaming fires than a standard optical detector, while remaining highly resistant to false alarms caused by steam or transient smoke.
