The BF318 is a simple but essential component for any fire alarm system where detectors are installed in areas not immediately visible to occupants or fire wardens. This includes detectors located inside ceiling voids, locked cupboards, lift shafts, or behind closed doors. When the connected detector enters an alarm state, the BF318 illuminates its bright red LED, allowing responders to quickly identify the exact location of the fire without needing to open every door or ceiling hatch. It is designed to fit onto a standard UK single-gang back box and is compatible with both conventional and addressable fire systems, including the Context Plus XP95 and Discovery ranges.
