The Cooper FXN922 (Eaton FXN922 / JSB FXN922) is an adaptable conventional 5-in-1 multi-mode fire detector designed by Cooper (Eaton) for commercial, industrial, and institutional safety installations. Built to simplify inventory management and field installation, the unit incorporates both optical smoke sensing and electronic thermal thermistor elements. Via an internal 3-way DIP switch block, installers can field-configure the device into one of five distinct operational modes: Optical Smoke (EN 54-7), Photo-Thermal (EN 54-5/7), Rate-of-Rise Heat A1R (EN 54-5), Fixed High-Temperature 77°C BS (EN 54-5), or Fixed Temperature 60°C A2S (EN 54-5). Operating on a standard 2-wire conventional zone loop (18V to 30V DC), it features 360-degree light-pipe LED visibility, automatic chamber drift compensation, and full LPCB approval.
