The Apollo Discovery 58000-600MAR is an analogue addressable optical smoke detector engineered to deliver early fire detection in marine, maritime, and offshore applications. Utilizing an internal pulsing LED and photo-diode array, the detector operates on the light-scattering principle to register slow-burning or smoldering fires. It features five panel-programmable operating modes (ranging from high sensitivity to slow-response filtering) allowing tailored sensitivity settings for varying shipboard environments such as engine rooms, accommodation areas, and cargo holds. Built with marine-grade flame-retardant materials and certified by Marine Equipment Directive (MED), Lloyd’s Register, and DNV-GL, the 58000-600MAR incorporates automatic drift compensation, rejection of transient signals, and 360-degree clear LED status indicators.
