The Ducab FlamBICC 2a (2.5 mm2 4 Core + Earth) in Red is a premium, Enhanced Fire Resistant cable designed for the most demanding life-safety applications. While the 1.5 mm version is common for standard detection, this 2.5 mm2 version is engineered for circuits with higher power requirements or longer cable runs where voltage drop is a concern.
This is an Enhanced (Category 2a) fire cable, providing the highest level of protection available in the FlamBICC range. It is designed to maintain circuit integrity for 120 minutes during a fire, surviving extreme heat 93°C, mechanical shock, and direct water spray. The cable features a “dressable” solid copper construction, allowing it to be bent into shape and stay in place, which ensures a neat, professional finish for surface-mounted fire alarm installations.
