The Ducab FlamBICC 2a (4 mm2 4 Core + Earth) in White is a high-performance “Enhanced” fire-resistant cable, engineered specifically for critical life-safety systems. While the red version is standard for fire alarms, the White sheath is the mandated color code for Emergency Lighting, Voice Evacuation (EVAC), and Fire Telephone systems to distinguish them from other emergency services.
This cable is part of Ducab’s “Enhanced” range (Category 2a), the highest survival tier for non-armoured fire cables. It is designed to maintain circuit integrity for 120 minutes during a fire event.Its advanced construction allows it to withstand extreme temperatures (930C°), falling debris (mechanical shock), and direct water spray (simulating sprinkler systems). The 4.0 mm2 conductor size is significantly more robust than standard 1.5mm wires, making it ideal for managing voltage drop over very long distances or powering larger loads like centralized emergency battery units.
