The Esser 781814 is a secondary visual signaling device essential for life safety systems in buildings with complex layouts. When a fire detector is installed inside a ceiling void, a floor plenum, or a locked room, its built-in alarm LED cannot be seen by emergency responders. The 781814 is wired directly to the detector base and mounted in a visible location (such as the hallway or above a door). When the associated detector enters an alarm state, this remote indicator mimics the alarm signal with a bright, red light.
