Esser 802374 IQ8Quad O2T Multisensor Fire Detector with Integrated Isolator

The Esser 802374 (O2T) is a high-performance fire detector designed for environments where both early detection and high false-alarm immunity are critical. It utilizes patented dual-angle optical scattering technology (using two different angles of light) combined with a thermal sensor to detect a broad spectrum of fire types, from smoldering fires to open flaming fires. This “O2T” logic allows the detector to distinguish between real smoke and deceptive phenomena like steam, dust, or cooking vapors. The built-in short-circuit isolator ensures that in the event of a wiring fault, only the affected section of the loop is disconnected, maintaining the integrity of the rest of the system.
