The Esser 802375 (OTblue) is a specialized multi-criteria detector designed to replace traditional ionization smoke detectors. By using a blue LED instead of a standard infrared LED, it can identify the smallest, high-energy smoke particles (invisible to the naked eye) typically produced by burning plastics or flammable liquids. This optical sensor is paired with a high-precision thermistor to provide a correlated “multi-signature” analysis, ensuring rapid fire detection while maintaining superior immunity to false alarms from steam or dust. It features an integrated short-circuit isolator, ensuring system integrity by keeping the rest of the loop active if a wiring fault occurs.
