The Esser 803271 is the non-isolated version of the standard IQ8Quad thermal detector. It is specifically engineered for environments where smoke detectors are prone to false alarms, such as commercial kitchens, workshops, or garages. This detector utilizes a high-sensitivity thermistor to monitor the Rate-of-Rise (RoR) in ambient temperature; it triggers an alarm if it detects a rapid spike or if a fixed upper-temperature limit is reached (Class A1R). By omitting the internal short-circuit isolator, this model provides a cost-effective solution for fire alarm loops where isolation is already provided by the base or by other isolated modules.
