The Esser 805590 is the universal foundation for nearly all detectors in the IQ8Quad range (including optical, thermal, and multisensor models). It is engineered for ease of installation, featuring high-quality terminals that support a wide range of cable cross-sections. The base is “passive,” meaning the intelligent addressable logic resides in the detector head itself, but the base includes a continuity spring that allows the loop to remain closed even when the detector head is removed for maintenance. This ensures the rest of the system stays online during servicing. Its low-profile, robust ABS construction ensures a clean, professional finish on any ceiling surface.
