Description
The Firecel SR 104 is a 300/500 V rated cable specifically engineered for critical safety infrastructure, including building fire detection and alarm networks, voice evacuation systems, and emergency communication links. It is also the standard choice for powering emergency lighting and centralized battery units. Built with high-performance silicone insulation, an overall screen, and available with either solid or stranded conductors, this cable is designed to maintain circuit integrity under extreme conditions. It is fully certified to BS EN 50200:2015, achieving a PH120 rating for withstanding fire and mechanical shock at temperatures up to 830°C.
Technical Specification
Conductive Elements: High-purity, plain annealed copper available in a rigid Solid (Class 1) or flexible Stranded (Class 2) format, strictly adhering to EN 60228 standards.
Fire-Resistant Barrier: Each core is encased in EI2-type high-performance silicone rubber (per BS EN 50363-1), specifically formulated to maintain electrical circuit integrity during extreme fire conditions.
Internal Assembly: The insulated conductors are meticulously twisted (cabled) together to ensure a balanced and stable internal geometry.
Shielding & Grounding: The core assembly is wrapped in an aluminum/polyester laminate tape for electromagnetic screening, supplemented by a 0.5 mm² uninsulated tinned copper drain wire for efficient grounding.
External Jacket: The cable is finished with a Type LTS3 Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) thermoplastic sheath in compliance with BS 7655, ensuring minimal smoke density and zero corrosive gas emissions during combustion.
