The Frontier FRN 20 is an intelligent addressable point-type heat detector engineered for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire safety networks. Designed for areas where airborne dust, steam, or ambient fumes cause false alarms on smoke detectors—such as commercial kitchens, boiler rooms, plant facilities, and workshops—the unit incorporates an onboard single-chip microcomputer. This microprocessor continuously samples temperature data to generate real-time thermal curve tracing, ensuring accurate fire judgment while providing automatic temperature compensation and sensor fault monitoring. Operating over a polarity-free two-wire loop (18V to 28V DC), the FRN 20 supports electronic soft-addressing via a handheld coder, features a status LED with 360-degree visibility, includes a remote indicator output terminal, and complies with EN 54-5 standards.
