The Frontier FRNHC is an open-area conventional thermal heat detector designed for commercial, industrial, and residential fire alarm installations. Utilizing an electronic thermistor array, the device continuously monitors surrounding environmental temperature changes to provide rapid warning for both fast-developing thermal spikes and steady heat accumulation. It is specifically engineered for environments where smoke, dust, steam, or fumes prevent the deployment of optical smoke detectors—such as commercial kitchens, boiler rooms, workshops, and parking areas. The detector is offered in 2-wire and 4-wire model variants, includes a remote LED output option, supports an auto-reset feature on 4-wire versions, and features dual visual status LEDs providing 360-degree omnidirectional visibility.
