The GST I-9103 (also designated DI-9103E) is an intelligent addressable combination heat detector engineered by Gulf Security Technology (GST / Carrier) for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire alarm systems. Built with an integrated microprocessor and a precision thermistor, the device evaluates real-time thermal trends to trigger an alarm state upon detecting either a rapid rate of temperature rise or a static heat threshold of 58°C (EN 54-5 Class A1R). It is specifically designed for spaces prone to steam, dust, or heavy cooking fumes—such as boiler rooms, kitchens, plant rooms, and workshops—where optical smoke detectors would cause false alarms. Operating on a 16V to 28V DC polarity-insensitive loop, the unit features electronic handheld programmer addressing (1–242), twin status LEDs for 360-degree visibility, onboard history logging, remote indicator output support, and full LPCB EN 54-5 certification.
