Hochiki DCD-1E-IS Intrinsically Safe Conventional Rate of Rise Heat Detector

The Hochiki DCD-1E-IS is an open-area intrinsically safe conventional thermal heat detector designed for hazardous industrial, chemical, and offshore marine fire alarm applications. Operating on rate-of-rise thermal detection principles backed by a 60°C fixed-temperature static element (EN 54-5 Class A1R), the unit rapidly detects fast-developing fires while maintaining stability in locations where dust, fumes, or steam preclude optical smoke sensor placement. Certified to ATEX and IECEx standards for Zone 0 (Ex ia IIC T5 Ga) hazardous locations, it connects to conventional panels via approved Zener barriers or galvanic isolators. The detector features dual status LEDs for 360-degree visibility, a low-profile aesthetic, remote LED output terminals, and full LPCB EN 54-5 approval.
