Hochiki SOC-E-IS Intrinsically Safe Conventional Optical Smoke Detector

The Hochiki SOC-E-IS is a conventional optical-photoelectric smoke detector certified for installation in Category 1 hazardous locations (Zone 0, Zone 1, and Zone 2). Incorporating Hochiki’s High-Performance Optical Chamber and advanced internal baffle geometry, it allows smooth smoke entry while effectively shielding the sensor from ambient light interference. The detector features Automatic Sensitivity Window Verification (ASWV) drift compensation technology to dynamically adjust sensitivity thresholds as dust accumulates, triggering an LED alert if contamination limits are reached. Certified to ATEX Ex ia IIC T5 Ga standards, the SOC-E-IS must be connected via an approved galvanic isolator or zener barrier when installed in explosive gas atmospheres. It includes a field-removable optical chamber for tool-free servicing, 360-degree visual LED indication, and full compliance with EN54-7 safety requirements.
