Description

The HM-PSE-S2 is an intelligent optical smoke detector head supplied with the B501AP-IV surface mounting base socket in an ivory finish. Operating on infrared light-scattering principles within a redesigned fluid-dynamic chamber, the detector continuously samples ambient air for visible smoke particles generated by smoldering materials like wood, paper, and PVC. The unit uses Honeywell’s Advanced Protocol (AP) and smoothing algorithms to compensate for long-term dust buildup and environmental noise. Address setting is configured manually on the rear of the detector head using two rotary decade switches (01 to 159). The included B501AP-IV base provides secure electrical termination, address label tags, and full compatibility with Advanced Protocol addressable loops.
