Description
The LEDE Threaded Square Head Plug (GMI Series) is a high-strength fitting designed to block off the ends of female-threaded pipes or unused ports in valves and manifolds. This 2 1/2″ model features a raised Square Head, providing a substantial surface area for high-torque tightening with a pipe wrench, ensuring a bubble-tight seal even under extreme pressure.
Unlike standard cast iron or plastic plugs, LEDE utilizes Ductile Iron (ASTM A536), which offers superior resistance to cracking and mechanical failure. Each plug is treated with a Red Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) or high-grade paint, providing an essential layer of protection against corrosion in both wet and dry pipe fire suppression systems.
