Description
The LEDE Threaded Reducing Socket is a specialized pipe fitting used to join two pipes of different diameters in a straight line. This 2″ x 3/4″ model allows for a significant reduction in pipe size while maintaining structural integrity. Unlike common malleable iron sockets, LEDE utilizes Ductile Iron (ASTM A536), which provides superior tensile strength and impact resistance, making it suitable for the rigorous demands of fire suppression systems.
The socket features precision-cut internal threads (BSPT or NPT) that ensure a leak-proof mechanical joint. Each fitting is coated with a high-visibility Red Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) or high-quality paint, providing an added layer of protection against internal and external corrosion.
