The Nortech NGA-700 is an intelligent addressable input module that allows for the seamless integration of non-addressable fire safety components into a centralized Nortech system. It is primarily used to monitor “normally open” dry contact connections from external systems such as sprinkler flow switches, gas suppression status panels, fire dampers, or security interfaces.

  • Integrated Short-Circuit Isolator: Enhances loop reliability by automatically isolating a fault on the local wiring without affecting the rest of the addressable loop.
  • Versatile Interfacing: Ideal for connecting fire dampers, sprinkler flow switches, or gas shut-off valves to the fire alarm system for monitoring purposes.
  • Status Indication LED: Features a multi-state LED that flashes during normal communication (polling) and stays constant when the input is activated.
  • Digital Addressing: Assigned a unique address via a handheld programmer, allowing the panel to display a custom text message specifically for that input.
  • Loop Powered: Draws all necessary operating power directly from the addressable loop, eliminating the need for local 24V power supplies.
  • Fast Response Time: Uses a high-speed communication protocol to ensure that external triggers are reported to the control panel almost instantaneously.
