The Omex 8-inch bell is a traditional yet highly effective fire alarm sounder. It features a robust solenoid-driven or motor-driven mechanism that strikes a metal gong to produce a clear, unmistakable, and high-decibel resonant tone. Due to its large 8-inch (approx. 200mm) diameter, it is specifically intended for areas with high ambient noise levels?such as factories, warehouses, and school hallways?where smaller electronic sounders might not be sufficiently audible. Its heavy-duty construction typically includes a die-cast aluminum base and a steel gong, finished in high-visibility red. It is designed for simple surface mounting and is compatible with most standard 24V DC fire alarm control panels.
