Polon-Alfa TOP-40 Heat and Flame Detector

The Polon-Alfa TOP-40 is a specialized addressable detector engineered to recognize rapid-onset fires in areas where early-stage, open flaming is highly likely, but smoke-sensing technology is impractical due to dust, exhaust fumes, or industrial particulate.

To achieve high reliability, the TOP-40 utilizes dual physical sensing criteria: a high-precision semiconductor thermistor to track ambient temperatures and a specialized infrared (IR) sensor tuned to detect the characteristic flickering of open flames. The detector analyzes these signals interactively, preventing false alarms from common light sources or temperature shifts while ensuring rapid reaction to true fire incidents. Designed for connection to POLON 4000 addressable loops, it supports automatic addressing, features a built-in short-circuit isolator, and mounts onto a standard G-40 base.
