Description
The Potter PAD100-IM Isolator Module is an addressable fault isolation device designed to protect Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) loops by automatically isolating short circuits. Operating directly on the Potter PAD protocol SLC loop at 24V DC, this module automatically opens the loop circuit upon detecting a wire-to-wire short, preventing the entire loop from failing and allowing devices on the operational side to continue functioning normally. Once the short circuit fault is removed, the module automatically restores normal communication across the entire SLC loop. Featuring low standby power consumption, a built-in visual LED indicator to show status and fault location, and mounting compatibility with standard 4-inch square electrical boxes, it provides critical circuit protection to ensure maximum system reliability for commercial fire safety applications.
