Description
The Potter PS10-2 Pressure Switch provides automatic waterflow detection across wet, dry, deluge, or pre-action fire sprinkler system configurations. Outfitted with two independent Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) Form C snap-action switches, it reacts to a localized fluid surge on its 1/2-inch male NPT brass connection. The device is factory-set to trigger an alarm condition as system pressure climbs to 4-8 PSI, complying with NFPA code margins to confirm active head deployment. The internal structure separates the wiring terminals into isolated chambers with independent ground screws, allowing technicians to run dissimilar field voltages?such as a low-voltage fire loop alongside a high-voltage auxiliary bell line?safely inside a single housing. Encased in a weather-resistant, UV-stabilized composite cover mounted to a rugged die-cast metal base, the entire enclosure achieves a NEMA 4 and IP66 environmental rating. Field installation requires no specialized tools, while the physical casing utilizes dual half-inch conduit knockouts and a security cover secured by specialized tamper-proof fasteners to ensure structural protection and code compliance.
