Description

The Potter RCDS-1 Releasing Circuit Disable Switch provides full compliance with NFPA 72 requirements by establishing a physical, hardware-based isolation boundary on fire suppression systems in place of insecure software-based overrides. Designed to interface directly with any 24V DC releasing panel setup, the unit uses a heavy-duty mechanical keyswitch assembly that physically interrupts the control current path leading to active releasing solenoids or squib actuators, completely eliminating the risk of accidental chemical or gas discharge during routine building service inspections. When the service key is turned to the “Disabled” position, the circuit breaks instantly and redirects an electrical terminal path through secondary on-board contacts to generate a locked supervisory trouble code across the host panel’s monitoring zone. The device features integrated dual LED indicator lights on the front plate?illuminating a solid green light during normal operational status and switching to a distinct solid amber indicator when active isolation is initiated. Outfitted onto a premium stainless steel faceplate engineered to mount directly into standard single-gang or handy electrical junction boxes, the device handles field integration via dedicated pre-stripped wire leads and allows key removal in both positions, providing code-compliant system safety backed by a 5-year commercial warranty.
