Protec 6000/BEAM/IF Loop Powered Beam Interface

The Protec 6000/BEAM/IF Loop Powered Beam Interface is an addressable module designed to integrate conventional beam detectors and linear heat detection devices directly into Protec 6000 series fire systems. Operating on the Protec Algo-Tec 6000 protocol, this loop-powered interface unit supplies a nominal 24V DC local power output (selectable at 25mA or 50mA current limit) to drive conventional beam detector heads while continuously supervising the monitored detection zone circuit. It features selectable end-of-line (EOL) monitoring options (resistive or capacitive) to comply with BS5839-1 standards, an onboard status LED for polling and alarm indication, and an integral short-circuit line isolator to maintain system integrity. Designed to fit a standard double-gang back box, it provides a clean, cost-effective solution for expanding specialty conventional detection without additional power cabling.
