The Protec 6000 / OP is an interactive addressable optical smoke sensor head engineered for high-performance early fire detection across commercial, industrial, and institutional premises. Utilizing the photoelectric light-scattering principle, the sensor continuously monitors ambient air conditions to quickly register slow-burning and smoldering fires. Raw data from the chamber is evaluated using Protec’s Algo-Tec 6000 interactive software algorithms, ensuring high sensitivity to genuine smoke while offering strong immunity against nuisance alarms caused by dust, insects, air velocity, and RF interference. Equipped with FAST addressing capabilities and an easy-to-read device address display, the 6000 / OP integrates seamlessly into Protec addressable fire alarm systems.
