The Rapidrop Fig. 701 is an industrial-grade 4-inch (DN100) grooved Y-type fluid strainer designed to intercept suspended foreign matter within water supply lines and fire sprinkler grids. Built with a high-strength ductile iron body and factory-profiled mechanical grooved ends, it connects smoothly into system piping using standard couplings to minimize installation labor. The strainer features an interior cylindrical screen made of durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel that catches sediment without impeding water delivery during fire events. Maintenance is streamlined via an integrated grooved coupling retainer cap, allowing quick removal of the screen element for flushing and inspection. Finished internally and externally with a protective epoxy barrier to prevent scaling, it is designed for horizontal installation with the collection leg oriented downwards.
