The Rapidrop Fig. 306 is an industrial-grade 8-inch (DN200) grooved fire protection swing check valve engineered to automatically prevent reverse fluid flow within water supply and fire sprinkler systems. Built with a high-strength ductile iron body and factory-profiled mechanical grooved ends, it integrates quickly into piping networks using standard couplings without flanging or welding. The valve features a heavy-duty spring-loaded clapper configuration faced with a resilient EPDM elastomer, ensuring a bubble-tight seal against a corrosion-resistant stainless steel seat ring even under low backpressure conditions. Its hydrodynamically streamlined full-bore interior minimizes fluid turbulence and limits pressure loss during high-flow demand. Suitable for vertical (upward flow) or horizontal orientations, the assembly is finished inside and out with a fusion-bonded epoxy layer to counter scaling and corrosion.
