SHIELD S-A4007 Isolating Base

The SHIELD S-A4007 (Part Number: S-A4007) is a specialized isolator detector base manufactured by Shield for its range of intelligent addressable fire detectors. Combining the mechanical and electrical mounting functions of a standard base with built-in short-circuit isolation technology, the S-A4007 continuously monitors the health of the loop wiring. In the event of a cable short circuit between adjacent isolators, the internal electronics trip to isolate the fault, preventing the rest of the addressable loop from collapsing and ensuring uninterrupted communication with the remaining devices. Once the short circuit is cleared, the unit automatically restores full power and signaling. Built from flame-retardant ABS plastic, it features robust screw terminals, remote LED output support, and standard mounting alignment for commercial and industrial installations.
