The SHIELD S-A4049 is an addressable input/output module designed to monitor external dry contacts and switch 120V AC high-voltage equipment in fire alarm systems. Functioning on an addressable communication loop, this dual-function module features a supervised input channel to monitor external dry-contact devices—such as flow switches and valve tamper switches—coupled with a high-voltage relay output rated for 120V AC loads like fan shut-off systems, smoke dampers, door holders, and elevator controls.
