SHIELD S-A4051 Isolator

The SHIELD S-A4051 (Part Number: S-A4051) is a loop short-circuit isolator module manufactured by Shield for intelligent addressable fire alarm networks. Positioned at strategic intervals along the detection loop, the S-A4051 continuously monitors the voltage and electrical integrity of the signal line. In the event of a short circuit on the loop wiring, the isolator automatically trips and isolates the faulty wire segment between adjacent isolator units, preventing the fault from bringing down the rest of the loop. Once the short circuit condition is removed, the S-A4051 automatically resets and restores full power and communication to the isolated segment. Housed in a flame-retardant enclosure, it supports easy surface or electrical backbox mounting and provides clear LED status indication for rapid field troubleshooting.
