Description

The Shield SD-BI 2-Way Breeching Inlet is a premium fire protection manifold installed at the ground level of buildings to allow fire rescue services to pump water into dry riser mains. Constructed with a highly durable spheroidal graphite (ductile) iron body, this configuration features two individual 2 1/2-inch instantaneous male non-return valves linked to a single 4-inch (100 mm) flanged outlet. Each inlet is engineered with an internal spring-loaded mechanism to prevent water backflow and is outfitted with a copper alloy blank cap and retaining chain. Built to handle a maximum working pressure of up to 16 bar (232 PSI) and fully manufactured in compliance with BS 5041 Part 3, it offers exceptional reliability for commercial infrastructures and municipal emergency networks.
