Description

The Shield SD-BI 4-Way Breeching Inlet is a premium fire protection manifold installed at the ground level of buildings to allow fire rescue services to pump large volumes of water into dry riser mains. Constructed with a highly durable spheroidal graphite (ductile) iron body, this configuration features four individual 2 1/2 -inch instantaneous male non-return valves linked to a single 6-inch (150 mm) flanged outlet. Each inlet is engineered with an internal spring-loaded mechanism to prevent water backflow and is outfitted with a copper alloy blank cap and retaining chain. Built to handle a maximum working pressure of up to 16 bar (232 PSI) and fully manufactured in compliance with BS 5041 Part 3, it offers exceptional reliability for high-rise commercial infrastructures and municipal emergency networks.
