The Shield SD-NRV-360FF is a heavy-duty, flanged mechanical non-return valve built for permanent installation in high-pressure wet pipe fire sprinkler, plumbing, and industrial fluid transmission lines. Constructed with a robust ductile iron body, this 6-inch (150 mm) valve houses a spring-assisted, EPDM-encapsulated swing clapper mechanism. When forward fluid movement stops, the internal assembly responds quickly to seal drop-tight against a high-integrity bronze seat, suppressing destructive backflow and water hammer surges. Outfitted with dual standard ANSI Class 150 flanged connection ends for quick, bolt-down installation, it is protected inside and out with a corrosion-resistant fusion-bonded epoxy coating to optimize long-term fluid dynamics.
