The Shield SD-NRV-360GG is an industrial-grade mechanical non-return valve engineered for permanent installation in wet-pipe fire sprinkler, plumbing, and industrial pressurized water networks. Built with a robust ductile iron body, this 4-inch (100 mm) valve utilizes a spring-loaded, EPDM rubber-encapsulated swing clapper assembly. As forward fluid velocity drops toward zero, the internal spring quickly assists in snapping the clapper shut against a high-integrity bronze seat, delivering a drop-tight seal and minimizing destructive water hammer surges. Outfitted with roll/cut grooved ends compliant with AWWA C606 standards, it connects rapidly via mechanical couplings. The assembly is fully sealed internally and externally with a corrosion-resistant fusion-bonded epoxy coating to ensure optimal fluid dynamics and extended service life under demanding operating conditions.
