The Shield SD-NRV-PN16 is a heavy-duty, flanged mechanical non-return valve built for permanent installation in wet pipe fire protection, plumbing, and commercial water distribution lines. Constructed with a high-strength ductile iron body, this 4-inch (100 mm) valve houses a low head-loss swing clapper design that allows unimpeded forward flow. When fluid movement drops or reverses, the internal swing assembly relies on gravity and reverse line pressure to rest tight against its seat, suppressing destructive backflow and water hammer surges. Outfitted with dual standard EN 1092-2 PN16 flanged connection ends for quick bolt-down integration, the valve is fully coated inside and out with a corrosion-resistant fusion-bonded epoxy finish to ensure prolonged operational integrity.
