Description

The Shield SD-NRVGG-PN16 is an industrial-grade, mechanical non-return valve built for permanent installation in commercial plumbing, HVAC, and wet pipe fire protection networks. Constructed with a high-strength ductile iron body, this 6-inch (150 mm) valve utilizes a responsive swing clapper assembly to permit unimpeded forward flow with minimal pressure drop. When forward fluid velocity drops or reverses, the internal assembly seals tight against its seat to eliminate destructive backflow and protect upstream equipment from water hammer surges. Outfitted with standard grooved ends for rapid, secure connection via mechanical pipe couplings, the entire valve is coated inside and out with a corrosion-resistant fusion-bonded epoxy finish for extended service life.
