The Shield SD-SVS OSY-1 is a premium fire protection supervisory switch designed to prevent unauthorized or accidental closing of main control valves. Housed in a rugged, weather-resistant die-cast aluminum enclosure, this electromechanical device mounts directly to the yoke of an Outside Screw and Yoke (OS&Y) gate valve. The switch features an adjustable, spring-loaded tactile rod that rides within the groove of the valve stem. When the gate valve is turned toward the closed position, the stem moves inward, displacing the rod and tripping the internal micro-switches. This immediately transmits a supervisory signal to the fire alarm control panel. Built to withstand harsh environments, the SD-SVS OSY-1 features dual SPDT contact configurations, tamper-resistant cover screws, and a corrosion-resistant finish to ensure absolute reliability in life-safety systems.
