The Siemens HI720 (MPN: S54310-F1-A1) is an open-area addressable thermal heat detector engineered for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire protection systems within the Siemens Cerberus PRO family. Built with an internal microprocessor and dual thermistor array, the detector processes environmental temperature changes through advanced evaluation algorithms to ensure fast, false-alarm-resistant response in locations where dust, steam, smoke, or ambient disturbances rule out optical smoke detectors. It operates over a 12V to 33V DC supply range via the Siemens C-NET protocol (compatible with FC720 series control panels). The device features selectable parameter sets (Parameter Set 1: A2S static threshold; Parameter Set 2: A2R combined rate-of-rise and static), an integral bi-directional loop short-circuit isolator, 360-degree LED status indication, support for external remote indicators, and automatic soft-addressing during commissioning.
