Description

The Simplex 4098-9714 is an intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke sensor head engineered for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire safety networks. Built around TrueAlarm micro-processor architecture, the sensor head continuously measures ambient obscuration levels via a light-scattering optical chamber and communicates digitized analog values directly to the Simplex MAPNET II or IDNet fire alarm control panel. Rather than making local alarm decisions, the sensor delegates threshold processing, automatic drift compensation, and environmental analysis to the panel CPU. The unit features an internal insect screen, a 360-degree visible status LED, electronic address setting stored in the mounting base, and full UL, ULC, CSFM, and FM approvals.
